Dr. John has laid his burden down

I was sad to hear that New Orleans blues piano legend Dr. John (Mac Rebennack) is no more. He has, to quote this song, "laid his burden down." I hope he gets gold pieces on his eyelids, loaded dice in his shoes, the finest hoes off'a Bourbon Street and to hear Professor Longhair play the low-down blues in the heavenly hereafter. Not that any of us dirty rats expect him there.
