I'm very happy to be here, not least on the President's birthday

The past is behind us, people are united to a future

Okay. From Iceland somewhere?

That was never -- the meeting -- was to have an agreement. Now, today I had the opportunity to explain my view of the issue to the President, and he is looking into my position and the Iceland position, but he had an open mind.

The future of Iraq is -- the future of the world is much better because of the undertaking that the United States, United Kingdom and their alliances took there. And without that done, the situation in that area of the world would be much more dangerous than it is now.

Þetta er alveg agalegt...

Var ekki karlinn bara að aðlaga málfarið að viðmælandanum?

Þetta er skammarlegt, en ímyndaðu þér ef þetta hefði verið Guðni Ágústsson, hann kann ekkert tungumál nema íslensku. On second thought, þá hefði eiginlega verið betra að vera með túlk.

"Banana had some difficulty investing the office of president with the required aura of reverence and in 1982 a law was passed in Zimbabwe forbidding jokes about the president's name, though it continued to invite cheap jibes, illustrated later in such headlines as "Man raped by Banana""

Now THAT is a headline, hehe.
